New Ester-Based Dianhydride: TADBHQ
Our newly developed ester-based dianhydride TADBHQ features an aromatic ester structure at the center of the main chain, which effectively suppresses charge-transfer complexes (CTC), enabling high transparency and low coloration in polyimide films.
The introduction of tert-butyl (t-Bu) substituents significantly enhances the solubility and processability of polyimide resins, allowing for high-solids varnish formulations. While the t-Bu groups slightly lower the glass transition temperature (Tg), they simultaneously improve thermoplasticity and ductility.
In addition, low water absorption, low dielectric constant, and low CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) designs can be easily achieved. TADBHQ also provides excellent adhesion and compatibility with composite materials.
With these properties, TADBHQ is ideally suited for applications requiring superior high-frequency performance, making it an excellent choice for next-generation communication technologies and advanced electronic devices.
